The City of Callaway fiscal year begins on October 1st and ends on September 30th. Budget adoption follows a thorough review of the preliminary budget. After review by staff, the City Manager and the City's Finance Director, the City's Commission reviews the proposed budget during one or more workshops meetings.
The preliminary budget is also available in the archives and the agenda Center on the City's website for review by the general public during September prior to its adoption. Commission adopts the budget in September after two public hearings, held pursuant to Florida Statute, which provide an opportunity for public comment. After adoption, portions of the budget may be amended during the fiscal year by Commission through formal Resolutions during Commission meetings.
