The Finance Department is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting the city's financial transactions in accordance with all applicable accounting, city, and other governmental guidelines and requirements. The department strives to serve the citizens of Callaway with a high standard of ethics and integrity in the city's financial management.

In addition to preparing a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, as part of their fiscal oversight and accounting duties, the members of the Finance Department provide other services such as:

• Assisting with the preparation of the annual operating budget
• Accounts payable disbursements
• Monitoring budgetary controls 
• Preparing monthly and quarterly performance reports
• Utility billing
