Why do fire engines respond to a medical emergency?
The City of Callaway Fire Department provides first-responder medical emergency response at the basic life support level, including initial patient and situation assessment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and trauma emergency medical care. The Fire Department prepares patients and assists EMS in advanced life support emergency medical care.
